Boy Scouts of America Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by

instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Vision Statement

The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training.

In the future Scouting will continue to:

Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law;

Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership;

Serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based program.

 

 

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

 

 

Tues May 28: Troop Meeting 7:00pm Community Presbyterian Fellowship Hall

Service Patrol: set-up/flags/clean-up: Panther 1

Scout Skills: Backpacking Race: Hawk 1 & 2

Tent Race: Hawk 2

 

Sun June 2: PLC meeting 1:30pm-2:30pm. This will be the last meeting for current PLC.

Court Of Honor (COH) Practice 2:45pm in the Fellowship Hall at Community Presbyterian Church. Practice is only for scouts with speaking parts.

Actual ceremony begins at 4:00. All Scouts should wear full Class A uniform with neckerchief and MB sash.

Refreshments to follow ceremony: Each scout should bring snack item (enough to feed 10 people) according to the following plan:

Panther 1 & Panther 2: chips or crackers

Hawk 1 & Hawk 2: cookies of any kind

Ferret, Beaver, Lightning & Phoenix: drinks

 

Tues June 11: End of Year Troop Picnic 5:00-7:00pm at the Pinehurst Marina, in place of the usual Troop Meeting. Hot dog Roast for supper courtesy of Dr. Maness.

Each Scout is asked to bring side item (enough to feed 10 people) according to the following plan:

Ferrets, Beaver & Panther 1: side items (baked beans, salads that are stable in warm weather, chips, fruit, etc.)

Lightning & Phoenix: desserts

Panther 2, Hawk 1 & Hawk 2: drinks
Quartermaster will supply cups, plates, plastic silverware and napkins.



 

Next Troop 7 Adult Committee Meeting: Monday, June 24, 7:00 PM Scout Hut.

Next Moore District Roundtable Meeting: Thursday, June 21, 7:00 PM LDS Church
